Kevin joined TA Associates in 1968, becoming a General Partner in 1972, Managing Partner in 1982, CEO in 1993 and Chairman in 2007. He is a former member of the firm’s Executive Committee and serves on the Board of Directors of eSecLending and MetroPCS Communications. Kevin was a Director of Alex Brown Incorporated, Ameritrade Holding Corporation, Biogen, Continental Cablevision, Instinet Group, Keystone Group, SBA Communications, Standex International Corporation and the National Venture Capital Association. He received a B.A. degree in Economics from Harvard University and an MBA degree from the Wharton School of Finance. Kevin is a member of the Private Equity Hall of Fame. He is a member of the Executive Committee of Harvard’s Committee on University Resources, Co-Chairman of the Harvard Boston Major Gifts Committee, and a trustee of Middlesex School and the Museum of Fine Arts.

Ken is currently a Managing Director at TA Associates and he focuses his investment efforts on the communications and financial technology industries. He serves on the Board of Directors of eSecLending, ION Trading, Martin Group and RGM Advisors. Ken formerly served on the Board of Directors of Datek Online Holdings, FTP Software, NetScout Systems and The Island ECN, and was a Board Observer at MetroPCS Communications. Prior to joining TA in 1988, he was a member of the technical staff of AT&T Bell Laboratories, as a Systems Engineer in the switching systems area. Ken received a B.S. degree, summa cum laude, in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Duke University (1984), an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University (1985) and an S.M. degree in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management (1989). He is a Trustee of the Boston Ballet and serves on the Duke University Pratt School of Engineering Board of Visitors and the Trust Board of the Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Hythem is a Senior Vice President at TA Associates and concentrates his efforts on investments in telecommunications, media and other technology-based services companies. He is a member of the Board of Directors of eSecLending and Radialpoint, and is a Board Observer at Orascom Telecom Holding S.A.E. and Weather Investments S.p.A. Hythem was actively involved in TA’s investments in MetroPCS Communications and Idea Cellular. Prior to joining TA in 2004, he worked in the U.S. and the Middle East offices at McKinsey & Company and the Investment Banking Department of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Hythem received a General Course degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science, a B.A. degree in Economics from Brown University and an MBA degree from Columbia Business School.

David began his career in the trading world in 1972 when he joined Citibank in London. Over the course of the next 20+ years, he held a variety of senior trading positions in various products such as Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income and, in particular, derivatives while working for Citibank, Chemical Bank and HSBC, where he was Chief Operating Officer of HSBC Global Markets. In 1994 he joined ICAP, a small inter-dealer broker(IDB), as COO and in the course of the next twelve years saw the company grow to become the world's largest IDB through two mergers and numerous acquisitions to reach a market capitalization in excess of $5 billion. He retired in 2005 but remained on the Board of ICAP for an additional year and is currently a consultant to the company. David serves on the Board of Directors of eSecLending, GlobeOp Financial Services SA, Walker Crips PLC as well as several private investment companies. He holds a B.Sc in Statistics from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and an M.Sc in Computer Science from London University.

Bill founded Affiliated Managers Group, Inc., a publicly traded asset management holding company, in October 1993. AMG, which went public in 1997 (NYSE symbol “AMG”), has been named one of the Boston Globe’s top 100 businesses for the past five years and one of Fortune’s 100 fastest growing companies. Bill served as President and CEO until 2006 and continues to serve as Chairman of the Board. Prior to founding AMG, Bill was President of The Boston Company and Chairman and CEO of Boston Safe Deposit and Trust Company, its principal banking subsidiary. Bill was a corporate securities partner of Ballard Spahr, Andrews & Ingersoll in Philadelphia before joining The Boston Company in 1983. Bill received his B.A. from Grove City College and his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Currently, he serves on the board of eSecLending and The Financial Services Roundtable.

Prior to his planned retirement from the industry, Ty served as Chief Investment Officer of eSecLending. As co-founder of eSecLending and former President of UAM Global Securities Lending, Inc., Ty has played a vital role in the development of the eSecLending model and will continue to do so in a position of Counsel to eSecLending’s Executive Management Team. Prior to UAM, Ty served as Chief Investment Officer of Dwight Asset Management Company and specialized in Fixed Income and Sales at Goldman Sachs, Nomura Securities, Morgan Stanley, and Lehman Brothers. He is currently a member of the Investment Advisory Board of the American Legacy Foundation and has served in the past as a Board Member of the United States Olympic Committee, the Amateur Athletic Union, and the United States Olympic Foundation. Ty received his MBA from Wharton Graduate School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Chris currently serves as co-Chief Executive Officer at eSecLending. Chris’ primary responsibilities within the company are product strategy and execution which includes oversight of global trading and auctions, collateral management, product management, business development and relationship management with clients and borrowers. Chris previously served as eSecLending’s President where he was responsible for the oversight of all product related areas. He is one of the founding members of eSecLending and was part of the team that developed the auction model and built the firm's service capabilities. Chris is Chairman of Securities Finance Trust Company’s Board of Directors, which is eSecLending’s operating company, and is also a member of eSecLending (Europe) Ltd.’s Board. Prior to eSecLending, Chris served as Senior Vice President at UAM Global Securities Lending. Before that, he served as Vice President and Compliance officer for UAM Trust Company and as a Client Service Manager at State Street Bank. Chris is a CFA charter holder and received his B.S. from the University of Vermont.

Karen currently serves as co-Chief Executive Officer for eSecLending. Karen’s responsibilities are primarily focused on corporate and financial strategy and execution for the firm. Prior to her current role, Karen held the position of Chief Operating Officer where she oversaw the corporate and operational infrastructure of the business including lending operations, information technology, financial accounting, legal / compliance and human resources. Prior to eSecLending, she served as Vice President of Operations at Fidelity Investments. Before that, Karen served as Chief Operating Officer for Cyber Trust Solutions and Baltimore Technologies and as Director of Strategic Finance of Digital Equipment Corporation. She was also OVMS CFO for Digital Equipment Corporation. Karen is also a member of Financial Executives and serves as Financial Council Chairman at St. Edward Confessor Church. Karen has a PhD from Kennedy Western University.

Gloria serves as General Counsel to eSecLending with primary responsibility for corporate management, structure and leadership of eSecLending’s legal and compliance team. Gloria is a founding member of eSecLending.  Prior to eSecLending, Gloria served as General Counsel at Dwight Asset Management Company.  Prior to that, she was in private practice with Gravel and Shea and formerly worked as an accountant in the high tech industry, including the IBM Corporation. She is currently a member of the Board of Trustees and acting Treasurer for the Lake Champlain Waldorf School.  Gloria is admitted to the State Bar in both New York and Vermont.  She received her J.D. from the Boston University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Vermont.
